Part 1: Why I Left The Precious Corporate Life?

‘’Thank you! I mean really! Our journey was amazing this year. We launched many programs and projects. We had lots of fun and I am so glad to have a colleague like you on my team.

For all your amazing works and efforts, we put you on our “Top Performers List.” You will be promoted and have extra benefits. I’m so grateful to work with you.’’

(It continues 3 more minutes)

Meanwhile, I just felt that I was not in that room. I did not feel good. Instead of me, if any other my colleague was sitting in my chair at that time, s/he would feel much different than me. Being a top performer in a leading company, having excellent benefits, a great salary… C’mon, it sounds so cool!

But still, I was not feeling so cool at that time! Then, why?

When the question comes to digging into the reason behind it with a usual form, as “WHY?”, there is always a transformation that comes up for me. But this time, the transformation was extremely different.

I have just thought for a couple of days to find an answer.

You know what, the answer was always in my mind.

I did not want to be a part of a hierarchical or seems-equitable-but-sometimes-changeable corporate culture.

Then it has been decided. (It has been taken 3 months to decide, though.)

In this case, I realized something cool.
